ACTION Stop Keystone Wolf Kill

In our last post we gave you many options to oppose the vote tomorrow in the United States Congress over the Keystone XL tar sands oil pipeline. Stopping Keystone will also help prevent a wolf kill by poison in Canada.

It seems it is not only politicians in the U.S. that are in the pocket of and willing to lie for the big oil companies. The politicians north of the border in Canada seem to be just as money-grubbing as the ones here at home.

In Canada the problems are already presenting themselves from this dirty and environmentally destructive way to make the big oil firms a few more pieces of silver.

The process of removing the oil from the tar sands has had a major impact on the caribou population and sadly the process is not stopping there. Instead of reducing the environmental impact on the caribou habitat by  Keystone  XL, the Canadian government in all its wisdom has come up with a far cheaper solution.

So what action will Canada Oh! Canada, take to save the caribou from this environmental destruction? Why it is actually quite simple! They will poison the wolf population in the area! Yeah!! One big wolf kill, that should do the trick.

Obviously less wolves will mean more caribou and with more caribou Keystone can continue to rape the environment for their profit. The more profit Keystone makes then the more they pay off the politicians so that more animals and habitat can be destroyed and then they can make even more money and the dirty little wheel spins.

This is exactly the type of corporate greed and government compliance with business desires that has brought our entire world to the brink of environmental ruin.

While moronic tea bagger conservative Republicans like Louis Gohmert tell Americans that pipelines are good for our nation because they somehow give our wildlife a place to go on dates, we have other morons in Canada killing off every living thing they can think of.

Hey, it is a good thing for people though. After all, we can try to live in a desolate wasteland devoid of plants and animals because we can trust those who keep power through oil companies profits will provide for us. Right?

Sadly by the time it is all said and done, after the water is polluted, the land barren and the wildlife all dead the only thing left will be starving people and a massive cleanup project that will need to be paid for. Guess who will pay for that clean up? Not the oil companies or the politicians. No it will be our tax dollars that pay for that while the energy companies and their political minions go look for another habitat to destroy.

Look at what is happening in Canada.

Destroyed habitats. Wildlife die offs. Now the poisoning of the wolves.

Is this what we want imported into the United States?

You can read much more of what is happening in Canada and why the wolves are being poisoned by visiting The National Wildlife Federation.

Poisoning the wolves is a pathetic attempt to right things that have gone terribly wrong and placing the fault on wildlife not on interfering and stupid politicians.

URGENT ACTION-Keystone XL

The Canadian Prairie before and after Tar Sands.

Today is the day to let your government representatives know how you feel about the Keystone XL pipeline. This pipeline will be shipping some of the dirtiest and most environmentally destructive oil in the world through the heart of our nation.

This is of course, oil that is taken from tar sands and pulling it out of the ground destroys wildlife habitat at an alarming rate.

This is a project that is strongly backed by the whole “drill baby drill” crowd and they have proven it every step of the way.

First they grievously lied about the amount of jobs that this project would create in our nation in order to gain public support. Then they outright lied about the environmental impact from the process of getting to this oil. Next was downplaying the risk of sending this pipeline through the most fertile farmland in the United States and the danger to the major aquifers that water the entire Midwest.

The last insult was from teabagger and conservative birther Louis Gohmert telling the flock of oil faithful how we need these pipelines to give wildlife such as caribou a warm place to go on their caribou dates. He makes a pipeline sound like a little wildlife love shack complete with fine dining and violins playing in the background.

Guess who wins and who gets the royal shaft out of this?

The big oil firms and their Republican minions would win and get our tax dollars on top of the profit they will make. Guess how many in Congress have big investments in this whole thing working out. The names Cantor and Boehner should spring directly to your mind.

The losers in this escapade would be our farmland, our wildlife, our water and our people. Once again all for the sake of big oil making a few more bucks.

The following are links to several different petitions that you can sign to protest this vote that will take place tomorrow.

Here are the list of petitions:

Credoaction.

Moveon.org

The Center for Biological Diversity.

It is time to speak with one voice as a nation and let our leaders know that we are tired of the lies, the propaganda and the outright greed of some politicians. It is time to say that we will no longer sacrifice our land, water, wildlife and health for the sake of big oil corporation’s bottom lines.

In other words it is time for us to say no.

Climate Change in 26 Seconds

My friends, I just watched a not only totally awesome but also an epic video. Sadly, it is also a really scary video to see.

It shows the change in our climate in the last century (aka global warming) and it shows those 100 years in just a brief 26 seconds. You have time for that, right?

This video comes from NASA. This is an organization that most  Republican conservatives feel is as much a fabrication as climate change. That must be why they vote against funding for it time and again. There is one ultra conservative however that must trust NASA and wants them to be a cornerstone of his administration.

That would be Gingrich. He wants their help with his future fifty first state and moon base. He did appear in a commercial about global warming and now wants to take the faithful to the moon and make it the next state.

Wonder why?

Look at the last century of temperature change at:

Then let us know what you think of this video.
